WHO WE ARE
The Osoyoos Forest Nursery is located in the sunny South Okanagan on Osoyoos Indian Band land within the Syilx Nation near Oliver, British Columbia, and operates through a collaboration between K&C Silviculture Ltd. (K&C) and the Osoyoos Indian Band (OIB). Together, we combine decades of silviculture experience with a shared commitment to sustainable forestry, environmental stewardship and community development.

The Osoyoos Forest Nursery began its first growing season in 2026 with approximately 3.6 million seedlings, marking an exciting new chapter focused on long-term sustainability, regional partnerships, and future growth. However, our focus extends beyond seedling production.
We are committed to building lasting relationships with our clients, employees, partners, suppliers and local communities while producing high-quality seedlings that contribute to healthy, resilient forests for future generations.
OUR STORY
The foundation of Osoyoos Forest Nursery was laid in May 2022, when K&C Silviculture Ltd. began planning an expansion to support long‑term growth and sustainability, which also coincided with the launch of the federal government’s Two Billion Tree Program. Originally envisioned as a land lease, the project evolved when Chief Clarence Louie introduced the idea of working with Osoyoos Indian Band—an idea that marked a pivotal moment, shaping a collaborative approach that aligned with shared economic, environmental, and community goals.
